You can check out a book for 3 weeks and renew it 6 times unless someone else puts a hold on the book. Items automatically renew and you will get an email letting you know if it renewed or if it is due. If you have no more renewals and do not return the item, it will go to a billed status and you will be charged a replacement fee.
